Advertising does not have to expensive. You can promote your business with funds that does not break the bank. Here are some advertising tricks to help you save on your marketing budget.

1. Market your products and services using advertising specials. Various magazines and newspapers often offer special packages such as ‘2 for 1 ads” or a “pay for 3 ads and get a 4th ad with no extra fee” kind of deals. Take advantage of these special deals to save a little.

2. Ever heard of the piggy-back method? In doing this advertising approach, every time you mail letters or fill orders for customers, maximize the use of the envelope and place ads on it.

3. Produce you own advertiser or newsletter. Make sure to issue them regularly. Release them either monthly or every three to four months. Try to sell ad space and subscriptions to it. This way, printing the paper and postage would be taken care of by other bodies. You have your own ads posted with no cost having to come out of your pocket.

4. Be in the news. When column-worthy events and improvements happen in your business establishment, send notices and let editors know. If the publisher thinks your report is interesting enough to be printed, you can get free ad placement in exchange.

5. Make deals with publishers. Tell them to insert your ads in the publication, and in exchange, you will help distribute 50 or more copies of their paper.

6. Bulletin boards are placed at many locations. Prepare flyers and post them over these free bulletin boards. A lot of people pass by them everyday resulting to a bigger ad exposure on your part. The best thing about it is there’s no additional expense!

7. Produce a rubber stamp version of your ad and post it everywhere possible such as on envelopes, flyers, etc.

8. Nothing can be more effective than word of mouth. Tell your loyal customers to spread the word. In return, you will give them discounts. Ask them to send relatives, friends and everyone they know over to your business center to make new clientele.

Try these methods and see the difference; less advertising expenses flow out while more customers come in.

Businesses, whether big or small, also require for timely check ups to gauge the efficiency of the strategies you have applied, changes you have made, and all the other business actions you have undertaken. Depending on what your enterprise plans are. These check ups can be conducted monthly or annually.

If you have an enterprise of your own, here are 10 guides to help you start checking your business up.

First, check your month/year-to-date sales. Conduct a comparison between your present and previous sales performance. See whether your sales have gone up, gone down, or stayed as it is. The information you will gather here will help you decide what actions to partake next.

As you look into the sales report, do further digging and find out the percentage of your repeat customers. Know that keeping customers is a more cost-effective way of running a business as opposed to constantly looking for new clients.

In relation to keeping customers loyal to you, check how long it has been since your customers last received new products or services. Keep in mind that customers are constantly looking for new things. If you stick on the same products and services for a long period of time, customers might outgrow them which is not a good thing as far as your business is concerned.

Study the marketing strategies you have applied. Inspect whether the marketing campaigns you are investing in are paying out with positive results.

Do not forget to take a look on reports showing how your customer service is. Are your customers happy with the way you interact with them? Are they satisfied with all the services your business offer? Consider these things and think of possible gimmicks to bring your customer satisfaction rate higher.

Aside from your customers, you also need to keep your employees happy. Remember, these are the people helping you run your business. Conduct survey tests or observe them without letting them know to see if they are happy with their compensation, treatment and the job they perform.

Oftentimes, in attempts to reach new depths, people challenge themselves by setting goals. These goals can either be intended for improving one’s career, lifestyle or even for building relationships. However, if these self-set goals are not met, getting frustrated and feeling disappointed with yourself is likely to happen.

You can avoid the agonizing feeling of self frustration by keeping in mind several pointers.

First, try to set reasonable goals; reasonable in the sense that achieving them is within the realm of possibility. This is the part where most people commit mistakes. As a result, they end up pining over loads of failed goals. Avoid that by setting goals which you think are doable within the time frame you want.

For long term goals, try and see if you can break them down into sub-goals with their own respective time frame. By doing so, you would feel less pressured.

Successfully accomplish things one step at a time. The goals you set, especially the big life-changing ones, cannot be met overnight. For example, if you want to lose weight, say 15 to 20 pounds, you can’t expect to wake up the next day feeling as sexy as your celebrity idol after killing yourself to death by starving and working out the previous day.

In relation to taking it one step at a time, you need to be disciplined and patient before you can see your goals slowly getting achieved.

Give yourself some incentives to serve as motivation. Achieving the goal itself and earning the sweet results should do the trick to stimulate you but if that’s not yet enough, think of some rewards to give yourself once you have successfully carried out your goals.

Lastly, remember not to push yourself too hard. Work your way until the end of the line without pushing yourself to the extremes. Things will go as you planned as long as the reasons behind what you’re aiming for are clearly embedded in your heart and mind.

Whatever economic status you fall in, there are chances that you may require beauty care either to enhance your beauty or to repair the missing assets. So, is the beauty care industry being affected? Here the question is how they are being affected by the economy? The answer lies although people tie belts and their budgets, can they afford the ever increasing prices of the beauty products?


How they have been affected by the economy will depend upon, how hard the times were and did it make them put off their beauty treatments?
