If you are a business owner you know that it is important to market your business to the best of your abilities. Creating shorter url’s will help you with your tracking capabilities and allow you to see which activity is bringing in the most results on twitter, facebook, youtube and other websites you use in your marketing efforts.

Their are a ton of url shortening services out there on the internet and would love to hear what your favorite one’s are and why you love it. I have one that have worked great for me and I will tell you why I love it.

Here Is My Top Pick:

Bit.ly – I love this url shortening service because it allows me to track clicks by the day, it integrates with rss feeds well and most services use it for integrating. It helps you cut down on your time consuming tasks so you can focus more on your business building activities.

7 Productive Business Habits

Thursday, November 12, 2009 posted by Charlotte 12:11 am

Charlotte

As a business owner it is very important to have productive business habits. Studies show that a business owner who set realistic actions will always come out on top and lose the competition too.

Today I’m going to share seven productive business habits that, I use to help me stay on track with my business activities. Feel to use these business habits in your everyday activities.

Here they are:

1. Create a to-do list and put the top tasks first.

2. Break tasks down into mini activities.

3. Delegate as much as possible.

4. Check off all activities daily as they are completed.

5. Break new ideas into small projects and then outsource.

6. Create your to-do list every night before bedtime and check off those not completed.

7. Spend only 1 hour a day networking, any more than 1 hour requires outsourcing.

As you can see I mention outsource quite a lot for your business. It’s because you can’t do everything yourself and expect to be as productive in your business. We all have learned how to outsource since we were kids.

Just to prove a point, our parents have outsourced to us to do tasks like washing dishes, sweeping, running errands, and doing laundry so they could free up their time to do more productive tasks.

As you can see it’s the little steps that you take to be productive and not just busy that will allow you to be a success in your business.
